World Blood Donor Day


The AU nursing students of all classes march in the parade to celebrate the "World Blood Donor Day 2004"

Since 14 June 2004 was the "World Blood Donor Day 2004", the Faculty of Nursing Science joined hands with the Thai Red Cross Society for two activities on Sunday 13 June 2004. The first activity was "Walking for Life". The Social Affair Committee members, freshmen, sophomore, junior and senior nursing students participated in the marching parade to cerebrate World Blood Donor Day 2004. The parade started at 08.30 until 09.30. The starting point was at the Triam Udom School where everyone began their march to the Thai Red Cross Society.

The second activity was the Blood Donation, which was arranged simultaneously with the parade. Mr. Saw Hsar Kar Paw, the President of Nursing Student Committee, together with junior and senior nursing students was the Chair of the blood donation activity, in collaboration with the Thai Red Cross Society. This activity took place beside the Thai Red Cross Society, Henry Dunant Road.

Although the students worked very hard, none of them complained, because they were happy to have collected 2,146 units (858,400 cc) of blood.
