Mentorship for MIRT

Discussing a MIRT research project on "Environmental influences on physical activity


Views of the activities during the preceptorship for "Nursing Practicum: An International Approach"

The Faculty of Nursing Science was invited to be the host for the Minority International Research Training (MIRT) to be held in Thailand. This program aims to initiate future research collaboration between the US Scholars and AU scholars, develop leadership skills through experience in research training, exercise mentoring program for the MIRT scholars, increase international atmosphere within the Faculty of Nursing Science, share research experience, teaching-learning activities and cultural exposure among local and international students. The research expertise of the Faculty of Nursing Science is Women's Health, especially in the field of health promotion and violence among adolescent and young adults.

A scholar from the AU Faculty of Nursing and graduate nurses from the Department of Nursing, Medical College of Georgia in the USA, are presently working with the Dean, Asst. Prof. Nanthaphan Chinlumprasert, on a research entitled, "Environmental Influences on Physical Activity" during 19 May - 5 August 2004.

All nursing faculty members and students have participated in this research activity.
