Graduating Nurses' Last Orientation

It has been our tradition since the conception of our
Faculty to conduct the Last Orientation for the Graduating
Nurses. The Curriculum Adminis- tration Committee organized this event on 7 May 2004. The object- ives of the Orientation were:

  1. To realize the important of opportunity for graduating nurses in professional career.
  2. To exchange ideas, opinion and attitudes among graduates regarding working systems in nursing and the challenge of nursing profession.
  3. To promote unity and uniqueness in the nursing profession.
  4. To maintain positive attitudes toward professional nursing.

The topic of this year's Last Orientation was, "Great Opportunity for Graduating Nurses: Career Alternatives". The program consisted of an academic address by Dr. Nanthaphan Chinlumprasert, Dean, Faculty of Nursing Science.

The opening ceremony was chaired by Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran, the AU Rector, followed by the pledge of loyalty by the graduating nurse
representative. Three AU Nursing Alumni: Mr. Somkiat Potiverayut, Professional Nurse, Pattaya Memorial Hospital, A. Dr. Pregamol Rutchanacul, Nursing Instructor, Thammasart University, and Ms. Wannaree Hongsbhanicha, Assistant Sales Manager participated in sharing experiences about opportunities for graduating nurses.

There were 241 participants including nursing instructors, graduating nurses and their relatives, nursing students, AU nursing alumni, administrators and staff of Bumrungrad Hospital, Bangkok General Hospital and Camillian Hospital.
