Senior Project Exhibition

Senior project is one the major-required subjects for the S&T students in every major. Senior project is the project that students gather all knowledge that they studied from the first year time. A group of senior project is composed of at least one to four students. In the past, senior project was presented in the presentation room with their advisor, two committees, and any interested persons. The students were supposed to show their products or works that they have researched for a year including the development concerning particular topics. However, since the past three years, the presentation style has been changed to be in the exhibition hall. This idea has come from poster session of the international conference, upon which the authors can post their research results on the exhibition boards. The authors can interactively describe their works to interested persons. Here, we apply poster presentation to senior project exhibition by allowing each student group posted its paper work on the exhibition board; computers were also used to show its research works.

This semester, there were 23 groups of students, which compose of seven groups from Computer Science, four groups from Information Technology, nine groups from Telecommunications Science, and three groups from Applied Statistics. As the nature of each department is difference, so in this semester, we have got 23 distinct senior projects. These were:
  • From Computer Science Department:
    • Traffic forecasting system using neural network
    • Parallel FTP system
    • Signature processing
    • CAI for formal languages and automata system
    • Internet gateway
    • ERC: Electronic Remote Controller
    • Geisha-A Study towards the making of an Adventure Role Playing Game

  • From the Information Technology Department:
    • TA online management system
    • Multimedia file searching and sharing
