Seminar on 'Game Development with Delphi'
A seminar on 'Game Development with Delphi' was organized on 11 April 2003 from 16:00 - 18:00 at the S&T Training Lab (Q10) for any interested persons. Mr. Ho Kit Robert Ong, the Marketing Director of Delphinux System Co. Ltd. was invited to give a presentation on how to begin using Delphi to develop games.
Delphi has been used to create some famous commercial hit games such as Ragnarok Online, Age of Wonders, and Half-Life, and is a very attractive alternative from the C++ language which is the current market leader.
In the seminar all attendees were introduced to the Delphi development suite, various technologies and the third-party tools, as well as example programs that they can utilize to develop their games. After the presentation was over, the attendees spent time to discuss and exchange views on many issues regarding general game development moderated by A. Pisal Setthawong who arranged this seminar.
