The Graduate School of Science and Technology organized the New Graduate Students Seminar on 30 of November through 1 December 2002, at the Royal Cliff Beach Resort, Phattaya, Chon Buri. The seminar was organized to welcome new master degree students to the S&T family, and to also let them know each other and their senior friends. Their programs of study include: Master of Science in Computer Science (MSCS), Master of Science in Information Technology (MSIT), Master of Science in Telecommunications Science (MSTS), Master of Science in Technology Management (MSTecM), and Master of Science in Applied Statistics (MSST).
The students left AU Hua Mak Campus at 7.00 a.m. and reached the hotel at 9.30 a.m. There was an Opening Address by President Emeritus, Bro. Prathip M. Komolmas, which was followed by the Welcome Speech by the Dean, A. Supavadee Nontakao. After that, all Master Degree students were separated into groups to meet their program directors.
For MSCS Group: Asst. Prof. Dr. Tang Van To, Director of MSCS program, talked about "Critical Factor for Successful Graduate Study in Computer Science".
For MSIT Group: Asst. Prof. Dr. Thotsapon Sortrakul, Director of MSIT program, talked 'about "Managing Your Graduate Study in IT".
For MSTS Group: Asst. Prof. Dr. Chanintorn Jittawiriyanukoon, Director of MSTS program, talked about "How to succeed Your Graduate Study in TS".
For MS TecM Group: Dr. Soonthorn Pibulcharoensit, Director of MS TecM program, talked about "Guidelines and How to Succeed Graduate Study in TecM".
For MS ST Group: Dr. Tawatchai Teeranusoun, Director of MSST group, talked about "Why do we study Data Management and Analysis?"
After lunch, all Master Degree students attended the graduate study guideline on the topic, "Thesis vs. Project" by Asst. Prof. Dr. Thotsapon Sortrakul. In the afternoon, new Master Degree students joined the walk rally activities arranged by their senior Master Degree students. The activities ended with 'Bai Sri' Ceremony, organized by the senior Master Degree students.
