Dr. MacBaine attended a Function of the Handicapped
On 24 November 2002, Dr. C. Gigante MacBaine, a new lecturer of the Faculty of Nursing Science, was invited to attend a function at TV Channel ll's broadcasting project on the occasion of the 20' Anniversary of the Association of the Physically Handicapped of Thailand.
According to Dr. MacBaine, "it was a most humbling and honorable experience". In addition, he had the opportunity to meet and work with luminary guests such a?: Colonel Somluk Wasana -somsit of the Royal Thai Army, Dr. Vipada Ratchanee of the Lady Thai News Radio, Khun Ratree Wittawat of the TV Personality Program, Prof. Dr. Kriengsak Chareonwongsak of the National Economic and Social Development Board, and Major Sirichai Sapsiri, the President of the Association of the Physically Handicapped of Thailand.
Dr. MacBaine mentioned that an impressive amount of money was raised, however much more is still needed, and that he would gladly volunteer his time again for such a worthy and much needed cause.
