CGFNS Meeting

Mrs. Chutiluk of TPS gives a lecture (Top) to registered nurses to prepare them for overseas work

Dr. Nanthaphan Chinlumprasert, Associate Dean, Faculty of Nursing Science, and Mrs. Chutilak Phamchera, Managing Director of the Thai Placement Services (TPS) Co. Ltd., a firm that helps to prepare nurses for work overseas, held its last meeting on 2 November, prior to the course's completion. This course, titled, the "Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS)" was held from 7 September to 3 November 2002.

All 18 participates who are registered Thai nurses were taught the requirements of CGFNS, what is necessary to work as a Registered Nurse overseas, including increased English language skills, in order to pass a future required English Placement Examination.

TPS and the Faculty of Nursing Science plan to hold more CGFNS courses in the near future. One is scheduled to begin on 4 January 2003.
