Processing of Agricultural Product's Field Trip
In the second semester of the academic year 2002, the Faculty of Biotechnology had offered courses, AI 4208 - Processing of Agricultural Product II, and FT 4108 Industrial Food Processing II, for biotech junior students. In both courses, there were several field trips with the aim to broaden the students' knowledge, as well as to have hands on practical experiments in the government processing plants.
During November to December 2002, the Faculty of Biotechnology took the students on three field trips, namely: the Rubber Research Institute of the Department of Agriculture; the Department of Textile of the Faculty of Agro-Industry, Kasetsart University in Bangkok; and the Department of Animal Husbandry of Kasetsart University Kamphaeng Saen Campus. We took a day off from AU for each trip. The students were given lectures and experienced laboratory work, and on-site observation. The students seemed to enjoy these trips very much, gaining a lot of knowledge and experience.
