t has been a tradition for the two institutions, the Singapore Polytechnic (SP) Institute and the Biotechnology Faculty of Assumption University to exchange their students during the academic year. This year is the fifth time that such exchange has taken place. There were altogether seven students from SP coming to Thailand to attend courses at AU for a period of about seven weeks (from 5 November to 22 December 2002). Thev were:
Ms. Low Hiong Wei
Ms. Komaldip Kaur
Ms. Lim Shu Jing
Ms. Fam Wee Nih
Ms. Ng Ailing
Ms. Ong pei Sze
Ms. Wong Yee Hwa
While staying at AU, they had taken four subjects, namely: Introduction to Microbiology, Introduction to Tissue Culture, Industrial Processing II, and Microbial Physiology together with the third year students of AU.
This Student Exchange Program will continue every year. The Singaporean students will come to Thailand in November while the Thai students will go to Singapore in the summer.
