Recently, the AU School of Architecture has the honor lo welcome Prof. John Ashmann from Northwestern Universily who held a lecture and workshop on the topic of "Meiaphor" on 17-19 December.
The lecture was held at the Bang Na Campus with a number of the participants from many renowned Schools of Architecture of a number of universities in Thailand, namely Rangsit, Sripratoom, and Bangkok Universities.
A workshop was also held on the following day at the Hua Mak Campus, with over 50 students from the lsl and 2nd year. The finishing group projects had presented over 10 project ideas, in a variety of conceptual directions. An exhibition was held after the projects were finished, and briefly exhibited in the Exhibition Hall. This allowed the students an opportunity to reveal their working conceptual approach and ideas to the participants and guests, and it also allowed Prof. Ashmann the opportunity to comment on their work.
With the success of this past event, the School is now looking forward to regularly setting up this type of workshop again in the very near future, in order to enhance the students' knowledge.
