The AU Nursing Student Committee organized a yearly project on "Health Volunteer Camp" on 16-20 March 2002 at Ban Sap Ka So, Phetchaboon province. The objectives of this camp were to: (i) promote self-care ability, (ii) improve the quality of life for the people in the countryside, and (iii) promote the ability of team-working among students and their cooperating skill. The activities included villagers' home visit, school health program, mobile clinic, and health education. These activities were to enhance villagers' health-promotion behavior.

A farewell party was organized on the last day. All students expressed their feeling that this camping gave a first- hand experience for everyone who joined the activities. They also appreciated the very warm hospitality rendered to them by the villagers during the entire period of the camping.
