Highly significant activities were organized during April 22-24, 2004 when heads of faculties, graduate schools and departments assembled at Cholapruk Resort, Nakhon Nayok to attend a seminar entitled "Au Academic Con-solidation in Strategic Planning and Development". About 50 academics participated and it was attended by President, Rev. Bro. Bancha Saeng-hiran, who gave a one-hour talk on "Au 2015 Strategic Directions."

The objectives of the seminar were:

  1. To review the 5-year plan (2002-2006) which has been under implementation in the past 2 years.
  2. To reset our strategies so as to eliminate our weaknesses, amplify our strengths and ensure that we maintain the edge of competitiveness in the 21st century.
  3. To come up with strategies and plans to maintain the quality of Au graduates so that they will be the "first-choice" among graduates in the labor market.
  4. To ensure that our faculty are academically and professionally developed.
  5. To enhance the university's image as a competent provider of quality education and excellent service to society.
During the 3 days of the seminar held in a relaxing atmosphere away from the city hassles, many issues were discussed and much was accomplished.

This seminar was followed by another get-together at Hua Mak campus on May 13, 2004 to which all administrators were invited and where they made 20-minute presentations on the following topics.

  1. To discuss and elaborate on the supporting services rendered by the administrative units.
  2. To come up with suggestions and solutions for current problems and issues likely to arise in the future.
  3. To achieve academic excellence through cooperation between administrative and academic sectors of the University.
Overall, it is hoped the seminar will result in accelerated consolidation of our strengths and attainment of our goal: "To Be Leader of Leaders".
