People's Republic of China, Canada, Hong Kong, Kuwait, Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore USA, United Arab Emirates, Taiwan, Venezuela and of course from Thailand, hi addition, there are 86 students attending the very first student forum to voice their needs and to establish student networks.

Panel discussions and concurrent sessions featuring 38 papers, under 8 relevant sub-themes were conducted.

These papers reported on new developments, emergent issues and good practices in all member countries.

The "Bangkok Declaration on Student Development" was declared and adopted which marked a new milestone for APSSA. It reflected our strong commitment towards excellence in student services the need for broad governmental and private support for student development, and professional ethics.

This conference was co-hosted by the Commission on Higher Education and the Association of Private Higher Education Institutions of Thailand. Organizing Committee members were drawn from different universities around Thailand. Students were heavily involved in the conference.

Now is an auspicious time for me to invite Mr. K. Puniamurthy, President of Asia Pacific Student Services Association to deliver closing remarks.
