CAREER WEEK AT AU

Every semester a special event is held at both campuses of the university with the aim of providing employment opportunities to our graduates and this so - called "Career Week" organized by the. Career Development Center (CDC) has proven to be a highly successful program appreciated by all parties. Naturally the Career Week focuses on the graduating students, usually in their fourth year and those who have already graduated recently. The university has sent newsletters informing them in advance and inviting them to participate.

This semester the period January 26 - 29,2004 was chosen for ABAC Plaza Bangna Campus and February 2 - 3,2004 at Hall of Fame, Huamark Campus. 25 well- known companies such as Exxonmobil Limited, Tri Fetch Isuzu Sales Co, Ltd, GMM Grammy Public Co, Ltd, Nestle. (Thai) Ltd., Maersk Group Thailand, etc. set up booths at our campuses to enable candidates to apply for jobs. On-linejob application opportunity was also provided by www.jobtopgun.com.

On 30th January 2004, the Career Development Center also arranged the following activities to improve the performance of students during interviews with company representatives.

10.30am-12.30pm: Interviewing Technique Workshop by Adecco & Exxonmobil at Wiset Si Samut Room, CL Building

13.00pm-15.30pm: Samkok @work Seminar (Learn how to set your criteria to jump into your career) by K. Vichien Shnatepaporn, Founder and ChiefExecutive, Top Gun Co. Ltd. atAmmaretPhithakRoom, CLBuilding

Overall, the evaluation was that the activities were successful and that both the companies and the job-seeking participants benefited handsomely from the Career Week.
