Under a special agreement reached between the Bangkok Hospital chain and Samitivej group on one side and Assumption University on the other, the latter institution undertook to provide the captioned program to officials of the hospitals during the period March 15 to June 4 at Bang Na Campus. With the interest of healthcare stakeholders in mind, this Healthcare Management course has been designed to allow the participants to
- Learn and develop management techniques to achieve organizational goals.
- Enhance management skills and techniques for health care organizational planning and control,
- Learn to analyze the problems facing the healthcare business individually and as a group.
- Learn how to handle each aspect of management whether it be planning, organizing, leading, or controlling.
- Expand the network of hospitals and other healthcare ventures.
- Strive for excellence in corporate governance and management.
- Enhance the performance of the companies within the group.
The trainees are medical and non-medical executives of the hospitals and being a residential course they are required to stay at the hostels during weekdays. In addition to regular lectures by the academic staff there will be dinner talks by experts and guest speakers such as Dr. Arun Pausawasdi, Chairman, BDMS, Dr. Parsert Prasarttongosoth, CEO, BDMS, Prof. Dr. Krasae Chanawongse, Advisor to Prime Minister, Khun Pojana Suksamornwong, Research Director, Colgate Palmolive Ltd, Khun Anakkawat, Marketing Director, Bristol Myers Squibs Ltd. etc.
The reorientation course for hospital executives which will cover such subjects as Supply Chain Management and Outsourcing, Demand Analysis and Optimal Pricing, Strategic Information Systems Planning etc. should be very exciting, challenging and full of promise and profundity.
