4.1 Ms. Norranuch Paikaew
Awarded St. Bernard Award for Special Merit (2nd Class)
Citation:
Miss Norranuch Paikaew joined the University as acting chief accountant in 1983. In 1984 and based on her satisfactory performance, she was promoted to Director of the Finance Department. Through her knowledge, dynamism and ingenuity, she has developed a system that is the envy of many other institutions who regularly send their officers to study our system of maintaining and preparation of accounts. The financial reports presented by the University have been hailed by the Ministry of University Affairs as superb and fit to serve as a model for others. Eager to improve herself, she is constantly looking for ways and means to learn more in order to perform better by attending lectures or seminars in her field of expertise.
Whenever she is called for extra-duty, whether to arrange meetings, receptions of dignitaries or important celebrations or share her experience and knowledge, she will contribute generously to the best of her ability whether it means long hours of work at night or whole week-ends far from home. She has helped all the schools of the St. Gabriel Foundation develop sound financial systems and goes on giving them support and advice whenever it is necessary.
In sum, Miss Norranuch Paikaew has surpassed all the requirements expected ofher as the Director of the Finance Department of Assumption University and is hereby awarded the St. Bernard Award for Special Merit (2nd Class) on December 24,2003.
4.2 Mrs. Yupawadee Lao-ledchai
Awarded St. Bernard Award for Special Merit (3rd Class)
Citation:
Mrs. Yupawadee Laoledchai graduated from Assumption University in 1987 taking the Business Computer major. She then pursued and obtained the M.Com (Business Information Systems) degree from University of Woollongong, Australia in 1990. During the years she had acquired considerable experience and expertise by working as Systems Analyst, Consultant, etc. both in Australia and Thailand and she was therefore given the position of Director, ABAC Integrated Information Systems Centre on her reappoint-ment on October 1,1997.
Mrs. Yupawadee Laoledchai is reputed to possess a high degree of personal competency combined with a very pleasant personality and these qualities bring out wonderful results when working on computer systems with teams of colleagues and assistants. She is credited with having developed the following systems:
- Student Registration System
- Student Affairs System
- Administrative System
- Payroll System
- Directory S ervice Imple mentation
- Information Provisioning System, or Automatic User Account Management
- Interdepartmental Processes and Data Integration
The successful development of these systems has enabled Assumption University to accelerate automation of operational procedures and work schedules as well as keeping abreast of new technologies to maintain a high level of executive thrust and management efficiency. For these valuable services and contributions the administrators have decided to confer the St. Bernard Award, Special Merit Award (3rd Class) on Mrs. Yupawadee Laoledchai on December 24,2003.
