God, Beethoven and Jimmy

On the invitation of the President Rev. Bro. Prathip Martin Komolmas, Jimmy McKissic returned to Assumption bag University to feature a program of music titled "From Beethoven to u Gospel" on March 19, 2002. Per-forming in the recently completed and glamorous auditorium named as the John Paul II Conference Center at Bangna Campus, the vituoso Jimmy McKissic played Beethoven's "Moonlight" and "Apassionata" sonatas with ebulliant flashes of music that made Beethoven even more pleasant to listen to. Thereafter Jimmy went on to render a medley of gospel songs in which he enthralled his listeners with very lively singing.

University executives, staff members, lecturers, honoured guests and students were more than impressed with the virouoso's versatility and phenomenal talents. They gave him a standing ovation and then at the end of the hour-long program posed with the artist for a commemorative photograph. Said I Jimmy of the mix of his music "I wanted to represent three elements in my performance today, God, Beethoven and Jimmy" and I hope I succeeded in my attempts. The performance at Assumption University was a practice session for Jimmy McKissic's scheduled Piano and Vocal Recital at Carnegie Hall, New York on June 9, 2002 as per the advertisement on top right.
