At the invitation of the Rector, Dr. P. Martin Komolmas, the U.S. Ambassador H.E. Richard E. Hecklinger and wife Carol Pratt Hecklinger, accompanied by Assistant
Cultural Attache, Michael Turner visited the University’s new campus at Bangna on March 28, 2000. The Rector personally conducted the tour of inspection and the visitors were visibly impressed by the design structure, the site and surroundings of the new campus. While Mrs. Carol Pratt Hecklinger suggested to Rev. Bro. Martin to compose subtitles to express the meanings and significance behind certain symbols and statues erected on the campus, H.E. the Ambassador provided the following message for ABAC TODAY.
“Mrs. Hecklinger and I were delighted to visit Assumption University’s new campus in Bangna. The new campus is a tribute to Assumption University’s commitment to broadening the educational horizons of Thai youth. More impressive than the grandeur of the new campus is the dedication of its staff, faculty and rector, Brother Martin. The Bangna campus promises to lead the way into the new century, providing greater opportunities for the people of Thailand.”
Grateful thanks to the U.S. Ambassador and LONG LIVE
U.S.-THAI FRIENDSHIP.
