A group of Thai misicians who performed and entertained and delegaetes to the Asian Youth Forum at S.C. Park Hotel.

Asian Youth Forum is an international conference organised for college and university students from throughout Asia.

It was first launched in 1998 at Assumption University in Bangkok, Thailand with around 50 delegates from over 10 countries participating.

At the start of this millenium most countries in Asia are at crossroads and rapidly changing. This year’s conference is accordingly named:

The young face of Asia a continent in transition.

This year’s conference will be held during 26-30 April, partly at Assumption University in Bangkok, and the last days of the conference will be held in Kanchanaburi province, well known for its natural beauty as well as for the famous “Bridge over River Kwai”.

08.00 Conference 3 “Globalization - Progress or the End of Asian Cultures” Guest Speaker : Dr. Kantathi Suphmongkhon, UN Diplo-mat, Adviser to the PM.

11.00 Conference 4 “Corruption - the Achlles Heel of Asia” Guest speaker: Mr. Kavi Chongkittavorn, Managing Editor, The Nation, Thailand.

15.00 Conference 5 “Human Rights and Asian Values” Guest speaker: Fader Joseph Maier, Human Development Foundation.
