Each semester, the Learning Support Center jointly organizes seminars with EN 2230(Listening and Speaking) on Various topics of interest. This semester, we organized the "Thai Youth and Globalization" seminar on August 27, 1999 at 17.00 - 19.00 hrs. at the Assembly Hall. The aim of the seminar was to help ABAC students understand the importance of globalization and its influence on Thailand and Thai youth. The seminar also exposed students to experts in the field of international relations to provide a practical approach for Listening and Speaking dynamics

Our guest speaker was the dynamic and distinguished Dr. Kantathi Suphamongkhon, who is currently the spokesmen for the Thai Rak Thai party. Dr. Kantathi not only spoke of the importance of globalization but also of the strategies and specific global issues that young people have to deal with. In addition to Dr. Kantithi's enlightening talk, the "On Band", LSC Student Committee members, and representatives from EN 2230 also performed two beautiful songs, "Heal the World" and You've Got a Friend" to add to the atmosphere of globalization.

Students from EN 2230 and other courses gained a lot of valuable knowledge from the above seminar and also enjoyed themselves tremendously.
