The First Thai Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute of London

A report from the United Kingdom informs us that the Council of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) United Kingdom, which is one of the most prestigious and oldest insurance institutes in the world, has, on October 20, awarded Mr. Thanodom Lokaphadhana, First Senior Vice President of Muang Thai Insurance Co., Ltd. and Assistant Dean, Faculty of Risk Management and Industrial Services, Assumption University, with the highest professional title “Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute (FCII)” and appointed him to be a member of the Society of Fellows, which is exclusively for the FCIIs. This is a historical event for the Thai insurance industry as Mr. Thanodom is the first and only Thai national who has ever been awarded this highest professional title in the history of the Chartered Insurance Institute. The criteria under which professionals in the field of insurance are elevated to the Institute are as follows:-

1. have completed the examination in the Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute( ACII) level;
2. be a current member of the CII;
3. have been an Associate (ACII) for at least three. years;
4. have been employed in the insurance industry for at least five years and wholly or mainly engaged in work connected with insurance;
5. have continuously contri- buted for the benefits of the insurance industry and the insurance education;
6. have the academic performance related to insurance which have been approved by the Council of the Society of Fellows of CII;
7. have submitted the dissertation in insurance related topic which passed the consideration of the Council of the Society of Fellows of CII.
