International Conference : Recognition
Lecturer Kyi Kyi Tin of the Basic Science Department, Faculty of Engineering attended the Fifth International Conference on Chemical Structures held at Noorwijkerhout, the Netherlands during June 6 to 10, 1999 where she presented her paper entitled "Rule-based System for Chemistry" after acceptance by the Scientific Review Committee. The abstract of her presentation will be published in the Conference Proceedings while the full paper will appear in the first issue of the Journal of Chemical Information and Computer Science in the year 2000.
For her endeavours Ms. Kyi Kyi Tin was selected for grant of a bursary of fl.1450 (Baht 30,00 approx) by the Organising Committee of the Fifth International Conference of Chemical Structures which represented the following sponsoring organisations.
AS the trip to the Netherlands was financed by her employers, Ms.Kyi Kyi Tin has, in conformity with protocol; remitted the proceeds of the bursary to the revenues of Assumption University.
