The annual games for 1999 were organised from August 17 to 27 at various courts, fields and venues and involved such sports as Basketball, Badminton, Bowling, Football, Volleyball, Swimming, Taekwondo etc. The games are held with a view to promote a better understanding and fraternal relationship among students and between students and teachers from the various faculties and departments. It is also intended to emphasize the importance of teamwork, sportsmanship and to enhance appreciation of health and physical culture. The closing ceremony was scheduled on August 27 and the program for the day covered the following activities : Speech by Rector Dr. P. Martin Komolmas, speech by President of the Students Council marching of Fancy parades, cheerleaders competition, campus concert, announcement of winners, presentation of medals etc. with the closing ceremony ending at 18.00 hrs.
