SEMINAR ON NEW TRENDS IN HIGHER EDUCATION

Rector of Assumption University Dr. P. Martin Komolmas attended a seminar on "New Trends in Higher Education" organised by the Association of Southeast Asian Institutions of Higher Learning held at the University of Indonesia, Depok on July 22 and 23, 1998. Various papers on new trends including "Market Mechanisms in Higher Education" were presented at the meeting. The Rector presented the country paper on Thailand in which he gave a glimpse of the likely state and shape of higher education in this country in the 21st century. The pictures show the Rector delivering his lecture and in a commemorative photo session with delegates from other countries.
