AU GAMES 1998 |

The Students Affairs Department organized the Assumption University Games 1998 from 17th August to 10th September 1998 and the theme this year was Sporting Spirit and Friendship
The objectives of this annual project are to promote a better understanding and fraternal relationship among students and teachers from various faculties and to emphasize the importance of teamwork, sportsmanship, and to enhance appreciation of health and physical culture. The competition centred around the following six games : Basketball, Volleyball, Football, Badminton, Table Tennis and Crossword. In addition there were Cheerleading Contests in 3 categories and the first event was won by Faculty of Law while the second and third went to the Faculty of Biotechnology. Altogether 107 gold, 115 silver and 116 bronze medals were distributed to winners and winning teams. | ||
