Dr. THAKSIN SHINAWATRA AT ASSUMPTION UNIVERSITY CAMPUS.Former Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Thaksin Shinawatra visited Assumption University on June 19, 1998 and held dicussions with senior administrators led by Rector Dr. P. Martin Komolmas, Vice Rector Dr. Bancha Saenghiran and other officials after which he took time off from his busy schedule to deliver a lecture on the "Role of Businessmen in Political Development" to faculty members and students in the Hall of Fame. Dr. Thaksin, one of the top business magnates in the country is now leader of the Thai Rak Thai Party which he founded recently and which is expected to play important roles in Thailand's political and government circles.
