NURSING FACULTY NEWS.

The Capping Ceremony for Class of 2000 was held at the Hall of Fame on July 27, 1998 attended by the Rector Dr. P. Martin Komolmas, Vice Rector Rev. Bro. Anupatt Patcharayuttachai, Rev. Father John Severino Ledesma, Dean of Nursing, Faculty members and students, One distinctive feature of this year’s ceremony was the fact that the organisers collected potted plants from some corners of the campus and made them into a bed of marigolds instead of spending thousands of bahts as in previous years to buy fresh flowers from the market place. This exeercise of austerity is highly commendable in view of the ongoing economic crisis entailing liquidation of many business firms, joblessness among workers and huge losses in earnings and revenues by the private and public sectors.

The Nursing Faculty also successfully orgainsed a blood donation program on July 24, 1998 at Salle De Expo which was inaugurated by Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Bancha Saenghiran.

Photos on the right commemorate the capping ceremony and the blood donation program at which many students and teachers participated voluntarily and which must haveraised the level of stocks at the Central Blood Bank immensely, Kudos to organisers and volunteers alike for their good Samaritan endeavours.
