The Asian Youth Forum was held at Hall of Fame beginning from April 27, 1998 and representative groups from many countries participated in the colourful proceedings. Here are excerpts from the schedule of activities for the youthful delegates.
- Amazing Thailand Welcoming Show.
- Welcoming speech by Dr. P. Martin Komolmas, Rector, Assumption University.
- Grand Opening Ceremony chaired by Khunying Supatra Masdit, Minister in the Prime Minister's Office.
- Conference 1 topic, "Youth and Society" by Ms.Hiroko Tanaka, ESCAP, United Nations.
- Conference 2 topic, "Generation "X" and Economic Challenges" by H.E. Dr. Savit Bhotiwihok, Minister in the Prime Ministers Office.
- Conference 3 topic, "Environmental Problems in the Next Millenium."
- Conference 4 topic, " IT-Led Cultural Changes and Effects in Student Organizations" by Prof. Srisakdi Charmonman.
In addition to the above wide ranging schedule other highlights included the " Cultural Night", "Group Discussions and Presentation", Cultural Tours" covering visits to the Grand Palace, Emerald Buddha Temple, Vimarnmek Summer Palace, a side trip to Pattaya Beach and the Cultural Heritage Workshop conducted by the ever-versatile and ubiquitous Glen Chatelier of the Arts Faculty.
